We developed a serial/ethernet client that allows test cell operators to control and view measurement instrument activity while also logging data from several instruments into one file.
The high cost of full Test Cell Control Automation Applications and their limited ability to command, control, and log data from a variety of emission instrumentation provides market space for a low cost, tailored instrument communication client. Such client applications would allow test cell operators to control and view instrument activity while also logging data from several instruments into one file for post processing.
EigenValue has developed a Visual Basic platform for such an application utilizing Microsoft’s Visual Studio. Its first application is specific for an AVL FTIR bench, however, future versions will add additional instruments to the same client and eventually provide a configurable installer that can be tailored to customer needs.
